Hello from the Moreno Valley here in northern New Mexico! It’s May, right? I don’t know where you are right now but we just heard that we might get a FOOT of SNOW tonight….WHAAAT??? It’s actually snowing as I type!! Crazy … but we are still in love with the area. It was 65 today & nice. We are told it melts quickly in the warm sun … just Spring in this area!
What is the weather like where you are? What climate is your favorite? We are striving to chase 70 …moderate climate, beautiful surroundings…we are getting there!!
If you aren’t on the road yet I would love an update on your process. And remember, if you have questions or need help, just ask! If I can’t help I will direct you to someone who can!
The other day, as I was thinking about the fact that we will have officially lived in our RV full-time for one year next week! Time flies for sure! So, would we do it all over again? Are we happy as full-time Nomads? Stay tuned — next newsletter I will write on this subject — an-ti-ci-pation!
Now…just as an FYI, I want you to know that I am getting ready to add a Newsletter Archives to my website under the “Our Travels” tab at the top of the page …because you know, if you’re like me, you will remember ‘that one thing’ you read a few months back & now you want the link but can’t find the newsletter buried in your emails! OR you are NEW & want to go back & see some of the past newsletters!! A good amount of thought & energy goes into each newsletters so it makes sense to do this, but the way my website is setup to notify people of new posts I am trying to figure out how to ‘de-activate’ that feature as I add these dozen or so newsletters … wish me luck & I hope that you don’t get the notices! (If you do, please ignore them & forgive me!)
I am not sure if you love cookbooks like I do, or cooking from cookbooks, but I am planning to launch an online Hungry Nomad’s Cookbook Club in June. It will be internet based (obviously, right?) and it will not require cookbook purchases (unless you wish) … there will be at least one LIVE Zoom meeting every few weeks… other details to come but I am gathering interested parties …let me know if you are one, I think it will be great fun!!
